JOB TITLE: Business Development Specialist for Real Time Consulting (RTC)

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through deal close and transition to fulfillment.  This position is responsible for the sales of professional Engineering Services tailored exclusively to the Embedded Software industry.

For the success of this position 3 specific areas of focus have been identified.

  1. Business Development
  • Research and identify new industry options for embedded software and systems services expansion
  • Nurture and close new prospects and clients that have been identified
  • Leverage the existing programs and program relationships to win new, expanded business
  • Develop an annual sales plan, which shall detail the activities to follow and target during the fiscal year which will meet goals
  • Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in a successful deal close and program launch
  • Sell consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various services the company offers to help client with their needs
  • Actively develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face, cold calling on business owners, and networking
  • Report on the business development status of activities weekly
  1. Contract Structure and Pricing
  • Participate in and recommend program price based upon market, business strategy, program objectives and related costs
  • Participate in select contract negotiations developing mutual agreeable solutions
  • Direct proposal preparation to ensure alignment with RTC business strategy, compliant with all requirements, responds to customer needs and provides for a proper structure for successful negotiations, program launch and program performance
  1. Company – Customer Interface
  • Serve as face of RTC with client on all aspects of sales and service
  • Service the customer while keeping abreast of active program service and helping with any issues to yield the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Balance the needs of the customer, RTC strategic objectives and RTC talent pool while ensuring objectives are aligned
  • Technical Skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical area
    • 5-10 Years of Sales & Business Development experience in Technical field
    • 5-10 Years of Customer Relations experience in organic program growth
    • Sandler Sales System experience a HUGE plus
    • Aerospace Industry experience preferred
    • CRM Activity tracker experience a must
    • Pipeline Deals (CRM) experience a plus

RTC uses a CRM System (Pipeline Deals) to track all BD activity.
