DO-178 Embedded Software Development and Test Engineer

JOB TITLE: DO-178 Embedded Software Development and Test Engineer

In this role you will develop and test embedded software associated with the definition and configuration of Aircraft Specific Data Bus (ASDB) components used in traffic collision avoidance systems (TCAS).   Embedded software life cycle activities are defined and performed in accordance with DO-178 design assurance processes.
Development activities include creation of detailed design documents, and source code implementation of software requirements.  Test activities include development of software verification test cases and software verification procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • BSEE or BSCS, other 4-year technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of DO-178B/C embedded system software life cycle development and test
  • Experience developing I/O for avionics
  • Attention to detail

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Working knowledge of ARINC 429, highly preferred
  • Familiarity with TCAS systems, highly preferred
  • Familiarity with assembly language programming, particularly the use and management of registers.
