TCAS Software Engineer

JOB TITLE: TCAS Software Engineer
LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ


In this role you will be responsible for developing and testing software associated with collision avoidance systems in aviation. The successful candidate will be experienced in DO-178B/C, safety critical, embedded system software development, test case definition and test procedure development.

Development activities include
  • Developing detailed design documents
  • Defining software requirements
  • Source code implementation of software requirements
  • Test case and test procedure development
  • Performing peer inspections
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • BSEE or BSCS, other 4 year technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of DO-178B/C safety critical embedded system software life cycle development
  • 3+ years creating detailed software requirements and software design documents
  • 3+ years creating test cases and test procedures

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with TCAS systems
  • One or more of the following 3 skills
    1. ASDB (aircraft specific data bus) experience
      • The following skills are required in lieu of ASDB experience
        • Arinc 429 experience, and
        • Avionics I/O mapping experience, and
        • Assembly programming experience
    2. Arinc 615A data loader experience
    3. OMS (onboard maintenance system) experience
  • Experience with the following tools
    • DOORS
    • ClearCase
    • ClearQuest
    • VectorCast
    • Green Hills RTOS
