ABOUT THE JOB: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Aerospace Quality Technician to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on electronic data package (EDP) creation and review, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality protocols. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our products and services, contributing to continuous improvement efforts, and supporting various projects within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Electronic Data Package Creation:
Develop and prepare electronic data packages for various projects, ensuring all necessary documents are included.
Coordinate with production and testing teams to gather relevant information for EDP assembly.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and correct formatting of all data packages according to company, regulatory and customer standards.
Review and Verification:
Conduct thorough reviews of electronic data packages to verify data integrity and compliance with applicable specifications and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify discrepancies and facilitate necessary revisions.
Maintain a detailed record of changes and approvals throughout the review process.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document findings and generate reports on quality checks, audits, and data package status.
Propose quality improvements based on data analysis and trends identified during package review.
Participate in quality audits and assist in the maintenance of quality documentation.
Quality Assurance Support:
Assist in investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Participate in training sessions for staff regarding quality protocols and EDP standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights into process efficiencies and quality enhancements.
Keep abreast of industry best practices and quality standards related to electronic data management and quality assurance.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Proven experience in Aerospace quality assurance and electronic documentation processes.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and standards, such as ISO 9001.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to perform tasks that may require extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
Ability to engage in visual inspections and use standard measurement tools as necessary.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Associate degree in quality assurance, engineering, electronics, or a related field
Manufacturing or engineering quality assurance and electronic documentation processes experience.
Experience with electronic data management systems.
Experience with Inertial Reference Units or Space Devices.
