Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Production Operations

JOB TITLE: Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Production Operations


ABOUT THE JOB:
We are seeking a hands-on, technically driven professional to support Production Operations in a Hybrid MMIC device laboratory, which plays a critical role in developing Aerospace Radar Altimeters. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day lab activities, lead troubleshooting efforts, manage equipment and inventory, and drive small-lot production schedules in partnership with production planners. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards while supporting product documentation, RMA processing, and corrective action initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day lab operations and the small lot production of Hybrid MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) devices used for Aerospace Radar Altimeters.
  • Work with production planners to develop optimal small lot schedule to meet planned demand.
  • Inventory management: identifying and tracking critical shortages, planning lead times, ordering lab materials.
  • Product and Production document maintenance and management.
  • Lead and manage equipment/process troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Perform RMA Processing and lead investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Ensure compliance to our client’s Quality and Safety standards and processes

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Sciences, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 5+ years of experience in production operations or laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrated sound technical judgment and opinions.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, based on fundamental technical information.
  • Ability to read/interpret product drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors and capabilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, consistently takes the initiative to get things done, does things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
  • Collaborative ability with cross-functional team members to drive efficiency and problem solving.
  • Experience as a Lead in an engineering lab and/or production environment.
  • Experience with Microwave/RF technology and Semiconductor assembly technologies.
  • Proven ability to find effective solutions based on root causes; and apply Six Sigma procedures.
  • Practical experience with various items of electronic test equipment including DMM, power supplies, oscilloscopes, network analyzer, signal generator, signal analyzer, laser trimmer/marker, noise figure meter, and others as needed.
