Responsible for alignment of Flight Management Systems subsystems requirements with Integrated systems requirements for functional and user applications. Responsible for leadership of FMS feature development through verification and certification.

ABOUT THE JOB:

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related technical areas
- 7+ years of experience in embedded software development for avionics
- Experience developing software for 1 or more FMS functional areas:
- Performance
- Predictions
- Flight Planning
- Nav
- Lateral Guidance
- Vertical Guidance
- User Interface
- Datalink
- Redundancy Management
- I/O
- Understanding of the systems development lifecycle
- Experience in authoring systems requirements and decomposition to software functions
- Experience with systems integration testing
- Experience creating systems verification test plans
- Experience creating systems verification test cases
- Experience creating systems verification test procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
- Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Familiarity with ARP-4754A
- Familiarity with Integrated Modular Avionics
- Familiarity cyber security requirements and verification
- Familiarity with system safety analyses
- Experience with DOORS NG
